Satish Kumar博士是新西兰植物与食品研究所的首席科学家。在过去的30年里，他一直从事林木和水果作物的遗传学和育种工作。他目前的研究重点是苹果果实品质性状的遗传结构、分子育种策略和苹果种质保护。作为在越南合作的一部分，Satish Kumar博士最近领导了火龙果栽培品种的育种和商业化工作。
Dr Satish Kumar is a Principal Scientist at Plant & Food Research, New Zealand. Over the last 30 years, he has worked on the genetics and breeding of outbred crops such as forest trees and fruit crops. His current research focuses on the genetic architecture of apple fruit quality traits; molecular breeding strategies; apple germplasm conservation. As part of a collaboration in Vietnam, Satish recently led the breeding and commercialization of dragon fruit cultivars.
